The Salubrious Life
Salubrious is defined as: "favorable to or promoting health or well-being." This blog is designed to be a repository of those things which I find to be salubrious in nature; in other words, promoting health or well-being in my own life (and maybe others).

Spark!
"Life is not a brief candle. It is a splendid torch that must be made to burn as brightly as possible before it is handed on to the next generation."

Glass Balls
Two quotes today (after only 4 posts total in February...):
"You’re never going to get everything done. So get the right things done."
This next one is one of my all-time favorites:

This next one is one of my all-time favorites:
"When juggling as much as you are, remember that some balls are glass and some are rubber. You can't drop the glass balls."

Quick Review: Wild (book)
I just finished reading Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed. I give it four stars. It was very well-written, and Ms. Strayed was very candid. I enjoyed the memoir; it reminded me of Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love (five stars). Both memoirs are inspiring and worth the read. If you enjoy memoirs and journeys, both of these books may interest you.

Quick Review: The King's Speech (Movie)
Watched The King's Speech this past weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush were both superb; I am impressed with the abilities of each, and heartily recommend the movie to anyone above the age of 17 ... there is language that may be offensive to some, but it is necessary (and only someone who has seen the movie will understand why).
